Weekly meeting of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at the Pahari Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC) held recently.
The meeting was held as part of the Assam Project on Forest and Biodiversity Conservation (APFBC), which is supported by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Assam government. The APFBC aims to promote sustainable forest management practices and enhance the livelihoods of forest-dependent communities.
The SHG members expressed their gratitude to the APFBC for providing them with training and support in forest management and livelihood activities. They also shared their success stories in generating income from forest-based products and services.
RGVN is committed to working with the Assam government and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the APFBC and to contribute to the conservation of Assam's rich forest biodiversity.
