The Assam Project on Forest and Biodiversity Conservation (APFBC) was created by State Government of Assam as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 supported by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and is being implemented by PISA and RGVN.

Community engagement activities are a great way to help increase understanding and support for biodiversity. The overall vision of the project is to contribute through the Forest Department towards the conservation and restoring of forest ecosystems in collaboration with the forest dependent communities. Also enhancing their livelihoods by ensuring sustainable use of biodiversity and making them a happier community in the process.
